We at M.E.T.A. have become more aware of the need to turn inward, to re-examine our work and our systems, and to grow in our accountability for ways we have perpetuated oppressive systems. We plan to refine and evolve both the methods themselves, as well as the structure of our business.
As a result, much of our schedule and our usual offerings remain in flux. We have just started our 2nd YR Comprehensive Training, and in April we will launch our Professional Skills Module 1: Hakomi Mindful Somatic Psychotherapy training. However, we will take a break for the time being from offering our Attachment, R-CS, Trauma, Integrative Bodywork, Personal Growth and Advanced Clinical Maps Trainings.
The M.E.T.A. Counseling Clinic is still fully operational and will continue to welcome new clients until May of next year, though the Clinic Internship Program will be going on hiatus at that time.
Of course, there is a lot we don’t know and can’t predict. However, we remain committed to being responsive and supportive, and to providing our knowledge and care to students, clients and the community at large. We are excited to pull back from the fullness of our usual schedule, to give ourselves the time to study ourselves and the fullness of the world, to assess what feels even more right and organic, and to evolve our work and relationships to their next highest level.
We want to take you along with us on this journey, so we will continue to update our website to offer you the most up to date information about our trainings and the other developments at M.E.T.A.
