M.E.T.A. Introductory CoursesM.E.T.A. offers a wide range of introductory workshops and classes, both for professionals and the general community, designed to introduce M.E.T.A. to people not yet familiar with our programs. Some provide an introduction to M.E.T.A., while others address specific clinical topics and skills, or provide opportunities for personal development. Some focus on one of the specific components that comprise M.E.T.A. – Hakomi, The Re-Creation of the Self (R-CS), Interpersonal Neurobiology, Trauma, or Attachment – while others combine these to explore a particular theme from multiple perspectives. They often have specific topics (e.g., "Mindfulness, the Body & Love"; "Change, Neurobiology & Limbic Feeling States", “The Unbroken Client,” "Mindfulness as a Window into Heart & Soul"). All employ the careful use of mindfulness and hands-on learning to provide participants with powerful tools and experiences for both working and living. All offer unique theories and skills to practitioners, and give an introductory experience of the M.E.T.A. training approach, teachers and trainers. All serve as prerequisites for our four training programs (Counselor & Therapist, Professionals Transitioning into Counseling, Allied Health & Healing Practitioners, and Personal Growth). Finally, all offer CEUs for licensed professionals whose licensing boards accept NBCC approved hours. Tuition ranges between $99-$199, and we offer a 25% graduate student and registered intern discount. |
